How to play
Boarding is automatic
When the doors open, passengers bound for that floor get off and the queue boards from the front until the car is full. You cannot refuse anyone!
Read the signs
The number bubble is the passenger’s destination. The board by the entrance shows who arrives in how many moves, and urgent passengers carry a countdown!
Simple controls
Hover (PC) or long-press (mobile) a floor to preview what happens if you go there.
Desktop
Click a floor plate or press 1–8. Z = Undo, R = Restart, H = Hint.
Mobile
Tap a floor plate. Use the buttons at the top for Restart and Undo.

Is Elevator Jam free?
Yes. Play for free in your browser, without downloading an app or creating an account.
Will my progress be saved?
Cleared levels and stars are saved in this browser, and the game resumes at your next level. Nothing is sent to a server.
Is the timer real time?
No. It is your move budget for the stage: each floor travelled uses 1, and it never ticks while you think. Every stage is verified to be solvable within its time, so a wasted trip is the only way to run out.
Why can’t I skip a passenger?
Boarding is automatic and the car holds 4. Picking up the wrong people at the wrong time is the puzzle: sometimes the best move is not to stop there yet.
How many levels are there?
80 levels that get harder step by step: Beginner 5, Intermediate 30, Advanced 30 and Expert 15. Each one is verified by a solver to be clearable within its time. The game opens straight into your next level, and the level button (top left) lets you replay cleared ones.
